The second promotion (Captain → Major) costs $470M.
Fits between our verified $75.0M (1st) and the $1.05B player screenshot (3rd). Other players in the thread agreed with the price.
Gold
How much Gold players say each source gives.
The daily reward gives 40 Gold.
Each promotion pays 50 more Gold than the one before.
Matches our numbers: 50 Gold for the 1st promotion (our screenshot) and 150 for the 3rd (player screenshot), so the 2nd is likely 100. One forum reply says the first pays 100, which does not match the in-game panel we saw.
Income & pace
Late-game income and how long promotions take.
At promotion 13 with VIP, 2x Cash and +100% from capture points, income is about $600K per second.
A single player's own numbers; useful as a rough late-game benchmark.
Going from promotion 14 to 17 takes about 20–30 hours of play with 2x Cash.
Tips

The 2x Cash pass is not shown in the income breakdown, but it still doubles your Cash.

Posted on Update 3 day. Update 3 made artillery hold back and shell from range on purpose, so this may be the new behaviour.
